Artist
DEEP DOWN THE SOUL was founded in 2004. Based on the idea of five young Bavarian guys to mix gentle female vocals with extreme shouts and growls, they released their first, unlabeled EP “…out of our souls…“. DEEP DOWN THE SOUL took the chance to reform the line-up, as well as their style, when the female voice left. Alternating vocals ranging from gentle melodies to rap, brutal growls arranged with heavy guitar riffs pushed by ground shattering drums and driven by basslines …this is their new sound called “Crosscore” a mixture of Hardcore, Death-Metal, Nu-Metal and Crossover. After DEEP DOWN THE SOUL formed new, they immediately started playing at shows and festivals as much as possible. They began at small clubs as local heroes, entered national festivals to be prepared for international stages and the number of fans won't stop to increase. They supported bands like Born From Pain, Fear My Thoughts, Death Before Dishonor and Crematory. In 2006 they were invited to record the song “Revolt” for the second issue of the compilation “Rockin..Munich” labeled by Anko-Music. The following year they started to record the long-expected first self-titled album “DEEP DOWN THE SOUL” at Anko-Music and released it in summer 2007. An exciting mixture of different sounds, including ballads, earth shaking heavy parts and rolling Raps.
