Formed in 2007 in Memphis, TN, DECADENCE POINT is a hard rock/metal band featuring loud, aggressive music without foregoing the importance of maintaining a melodic sense. Their music offers hard driving guitars, bone crushing beats, and meaningful lyrics, with a sound that has been compared to the likes of Disturbed & Godsmack. In late 2006, with intentions of re-joining the local Memphis rock scene, former REVOLT front man David Wylz was introduced to local guitarist Scott Dotson. The two soon saw that their talent together stirred up a unique chemistry and began writing songs which would become the basis of the new band. With a handful of songs, the band soon recruited bassist Kenny Knighton to hold down the bottom end, and mutual friend Chris Gallarno was added on the drum kit. After a few shows featuring this line-up, Gallarno was replaced with drummer Chris McCoy to give the band the more powerful technical sound it was looking for. And now, with this new sound and the new line-up intact, plans were made to enter the studio to record the band's first CD (Which Chris M was not featured on due to a late coming into the band), a 6-song EP aptly titled "DECADENCE POINT" and featuring the track "Far Beyond My Grave" which has become a new local favorite garnering attention on local Memphis radio station 93X. The band also now has plans on re-entering the studio this summer due to interest from record producers intent on securing the band a signed record deal. Stay tuned for m
