Deblois (pronounced by saying all the letters, it rhymes with "choice" or "rolls royce") has played extensively on the East and West Coasts of the States as well as Central America, and the Bahamas. She is working on her third studio album at Proxy Studios in Oceanside, CA. Deblois plays acoustic roots music; soulful original tunes with an eye for the universal. Deblois plays with many musicians from around the world and has earned their respect by having great tunes, great gigs and great fans! In Miami she is most frequently seen with various duo partners, or backed by the Big House Band: Sam Levine on drums, Nathan (Monkey) Greenberg on bass, Buffalo Brown on lead guitar and vocals, and Alan Reyna on congas and djembe, Alison Irving on fiddle. Deblois has been touring the U.S. since April of 2006 in support of her debut release, Leviathan, and has garnered the support of fans and music critics. Her second record "Velveteen" with its country vibe and worldbeat elements make it a unique and fun "Sunday drive to the beach" favorite. Deblois spent several years (from 2001 to 2005) in a small Central American town honing her performance and songwriting skills and emerged on the other side of this experience with a whole new outlook; speaking Spanish, driving a motorcycle, fording rivers and captivating audiences with her easy going and very real tunes.
