Brand new, from a basement in suburban Gent: 4 guys with a genuine love for music, who, after years of experimenting and searching for their sound in said basement, decided to write their own songs. It wouldn’t take long before they got the opportunity to mount the stage; the only thing missing was a name. After some time they finally decided to go with Death Around the Eyes, and played their first show at the rock ‘n roll party ‘Date With the Night’ (06/04/2011). Ever since, they’ve been writing new material, incorporating their love for musical genres as diverse as post-punk, shoegaze, noise rock, slowcore, and many more.
