Dear Dead City was an acoustic and later electronic project headed by John Layko Torkelson. It originated in his dorm room at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan and followed John to Cape Town South Africa where many songs were written. Several Small tours followed John's return to the US and move to Chicago IL and DDC in on semi-permanent long tern hiatus. Corps-Morts records out of Quebec released DDC's second split ep titled "of the sunsets of the seas" A split with This Level is Clouds! from Ohio is out on Corps-Morts Records of Quebec and available through Reformer Records in Chicago.
