Dear Me Dear You was a post-hardcore band from Elgin/Chicago, Illinois, United States. From their Myspace: "Dear Me Dear You is a new musical project from the Elgin/St. Charles Illinois area. Formed in early August 2004, DMDY has been actively songwriting since its inception, and is just beginning to break into the show circuit. Influences range from Coheed And Cambria and Further Seems Forever to Norma Jean and Underoath. DMDY hopes to establish a strong fanbase as well as form friendships with musicians and friends alike, so come out to a show and say hi. Dear Me Dear You is a band formed of the ashes of piano based emo rock outfit Somewhere Further South and acoustic project The Goodbye Fall. Utilizing the melodic sensibility the previous endavours taught them and adding their own touch of character, Paul Karnatz, Patrick and Mike Dewitte, John Zozzaro and Rob Lejman set out to create a band that could easily fit into the "scene" that peers found themselves in, but not allow themselves to become another cliche. What resulted within the first month of what was to become Dear Me Dear You was the recording of a 3 song EP that launched the band. DMDY quickly took off, performing its first show with friends The Junior Varsity (Victory Records) and hitting Chicago shortly thereafter to play the Congress Theatre. Most recently performing by the side of Bear Vs. Shark and The Fall of Troy (Equal Vision Records), HORSE The Band (Combat Records) and Curl Up and Die, Dear Me Dear
