There are multiple artists called Dear John. 1) Dear John is the musical alter-ego of Dirk-Jan Smit, DJ to his friends, a singer-songwriter living in Amsterdam, the Capital of The Netherlands and was joined in 2018 by Ruud Bos, who is also a singer-songwriter. Dear John released a debut EP: 'When the Morning Comes' in 2013. They released a new single "Things Will Change" in april 2019. 2) Dear John are also an electronic-melodic-noise 3 piece based in the North East of Scotland. Combining loops, abstract sounds and industrial elements with their heavy, energetic live vibe, Dear John have created a sound that can only be described as Synthetic Ultima Drunge.
