It's difficult to digest, the development of Deadly Hopefuls... Consisting of former members of Struck By Truth, Heroes For Sale, Of The Epic, and Dreamboat; hailing from various GTA neighbourhoods to forge bold new material in the furnaces of Hell (a.k.a. Brampton); gestating for over a year; experimenting with countless musical styles and plenty of potential members... It wasn't until the final weeks of 2008 that the missing pieces of the puzzle were found. Even then, with all of the right elements present, it took another four months for each piece to find its place. When Deadly Hopefuls first took to the stage in March of 2009, the response was overwhelming. Perhaps it was due to unreasonable hype, memories of members' past achievements, or just a want of something fresh and new; regardless of why those fans materialised so immediately and in such great numbers, the implications were clear. Over the ensuing ten months, Deadly Hopefuls worked hard and worked quickly to capitalise on that solid foundation and earn the privilege of performing with such notable acts as Blackie Jackett Jr., Cavaliers!, Dance Electric, DD/MM/YYYY, Dinosaur Bones, The North, Pneumatic Transit, The Sure Things, and many, many more.
