Formed in Oakland, California in 2018, Dead in Argentina is a four-piece, punk-inspired rock band. Fronted by guitarist/vocalist Brian Brophy, the band is rounded out by bassist/vocalist Dan Burns, guitarist/vocalist Lyle Livingston Guanzon, and drummer Logan Ray. Known for melodic that's woven into layers of dirty and raw guitar. The band is known for songs that broach pressing social issues as well as topics of darker frivolity — the bass player’s combustibility, for example. Drawn on the urgent, guitar-driven sounds of bands like Drive Like Jehu, IDLES, Fugazi, Protomartyr, Jawbreaker, and Slint. The band released its first demo, Four Songs, in February 2019.
