Dead Speak was a band formed back in 1987. Known as Disciple, Aggressor and Desecrator, the band finally in 1989 changed permantly to Dead Speak. The band was made up of Denney Jay-Vocals, Joey Guerrieri-Guitar, Kenny Wofford-Bass from 1987-1993, Carey Brewer-Bass from 1993-1994, David Briley-Bass from 1989-1990 and Jody Kelley-Drums. Influences at the time were Cannibal Corpse, Death and Suffocation. The band called it quits in 1994. In 2003 members of the band reunited to redo their old songs. Along with new songs the band still remains a local Atlanta band. The band is stopped playing live but they have played live with Obituary, Cannibal Corpse and Deicide and has influences from any of the following bands: Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Suffocation, Bolt-Thrower, Naplam Death, Grave, Nile, Cryptopsy, Hate Eternal, Blood Red Throne, Gorguts, Obituary, Gorgasm, Iniquity, Malevolent Creation, Vader, Slayer, Yattering, 6 Feet Under.
