Dead On A Friday is a melodic, uptempo punk band in the vein of Bad Religion, Pennywise, Social Distortion, and the Bouncing Souls. Founded by vocalist/basist Dave Fox in summer of 2002, the original line- up featured Jessen Jurado, a writer from Queens, on guitar, and John Gambino, a construction worker from Yonkers, on drums. Playing various shows in the New York area, Dead On A Friday developed a reputation for playing shows that exisisted with people who were living. After drummer John Gambino left the band in summer 2003, a brief period of confusion, hunger, famine, and pestilence led Dave and Jessen to finally settle on new drummer Danny Figueroa, who is indeed a drummer who plays drums.
