Artist
Dayan Noel is a 24-year-old, singer-songwriter and producer. Since the age of fifteen, Dayan has been writing songs in his room. That passion has grown throughout the years and so has his prowess in his production and instrumentation. His music has been described as blankets of sounds wrapped around a slow groove. He has blended the lines between spacious and heavy sounds. The masterful crafting of the lyrical themes of unrequited love, loneliness and melancholy couple effortlessly with the subtle rhythms and heaviness of the instrumentation. As he describes it, he is sculpting pure sonic emotion. His latest single, “Love In The Dark”, was inspired by a fling at university which leads to the idea of only knowing real love when the lights are off or when nobody else is around. It describes a melancholic yearning for a moment in time. "I was inspired by the early sounds of Michael Jackson and Phill Collins so I decided to make a song inspired by those sounds and emotions. It's about feeling used in a one-sided relationship but staying for validation. I was also inspired by the atmosphere of small, exclusive European clubs and discos. I wanted to create a feeling of infatuation in a club setting in the 80s." User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
