Dawktah is a New York-based experimental plunderphonics musician. Dawktah is one of the pseudonyms used by John McDonnell, who also performs as Sola Veneño. He started making music under this pseudonym in December 2011 after experimenting with plunderphonics on Audacity, which he subsequently used to make his debut EP, "Sacristy Arcade". Since then, he has released the "Imaginary Math" single, and is currently working on his upcoming debut album Reduced to Dust, which was released in September 2013. After the release of another single entitled "Soirée d'adieu" in 2014, he went on hiatus to focus on his Sola Veneño output, only putting out the compilation album Inpatient Access in December 2014, three years after he made his first track under the Dawktah name.
