Artist
Davitt Sigerson began his career as a music journalist in the late 70s, had a short and relatively unsuccessful career as an artist -- releasing two albums as a solo artist and one collaboration under the name The Royal Macadamians in the 80s -- then moved into songwriting and production (most notably for David and David, The Bangles' final pre-breakup album Everything, and the initial sessions for Tori Amos' debut album Little Earthquakes. Subsequently he moved to the business side of the business, becoming president of Polydor Records in 1991, president of EMI/Chrysalis Records in 1994, and chairman of Island Records from 1998 to 1999.
