David Shepard

David Shepard is a solo artist from the upstate New York area. He is also known as Tha Baron and has been self-releasing albums since 2004, starting with "Burn Marks From An Unlit Cigar." Since then he has completed eight full-length albums, a double album, an EP and three singles. He has played/plays in several bands including The Art Punk Band, The T-Roosters, The Ink On Hand Band, The R.I.O.T.S., and The Stanley Hill Boys. David plays a wide arrange of instruments mostly of the stringed variety. On his albums he has used guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, mandolin, violin, ukalale, harmonica, and the dobro. He has lived everywhere from the razor wire inferno of Los Altos! (Washington Heights) to the sun-bleached beaches of an island paradise (Nantucket) to farm country to Boston from time to time. He will be back on Nantucket for this upcoming 2010 summer and is currently enjoying his life as a nomad.
