David Knowles is a distinctive vocalist and songwriter based in Edinburgh, Scotland with a growing international social media following. Lyrically, David draws inspiration from years spent travelling the world as well as from other writers and musicians including Jack Kerouac and Bob Dylan. With a depth and range that belie his relatively tender years, David’s voice has drawn favorable comparisons to such iconic performers as Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Grammy award-winning country singer Ray Lamontagne. His recordings and live sets are enhanced with cello and percussion and his bands “sound” has been variously compared to leading contemporary singer-songwriters including Damien Rice and Jose Gonzalez as well as alternative rock band Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
