David Hernandez (born May 31, 1983 in Glendale, Arizona) singer and was a finalist on the seventh season of American Idol. He began singing at age six. Controversy came about in March 2008 when it was revealed that Hernandez once worked as a stripper at a strip club called Dick's Cabaret, a gay bar in Phoenix, AZ. He was subsequently voted off of American Idol.
