David Gallienne originally hails from Somerset, England. He now resides on the island of Guernsey. He was born January 8th 1975 and has been a lifelong fan of music, especially of what is now termed “Classic Rock”. His first musical memory was hearing Whitesnake’s “Long Way From Home” playing on the radio when he was just 4 years old. He was always fascinated by the guitar, but didn’t actually start playing the instrument until he was 17. A brief timeline of David's journey, so far: Early 1992 Mark II - David's 1st band. They performed several shows in Guernsey,making their live debut at an outdoor festival, at Vale Castle. Mark II also recorded a 4 track demo in 1992, before disbanding. Late 1992 - 1994 David joins major Guernsey CCM Rock band Double Edge. The band recorded an album "She's Not There" in July of 1993, which was released later that year. Double Edge received their first radio airplay courtesy of John Randall's "Randall's Revenge" show, on Guernsey station Island FM. The song featured was "New Age Movement". They performed many shows in Guernsey, including performances at the Trailblaze festival and another outdoor festival at Vale Castle. The Vale Castle gig was brodcast live on Island FM. The band performed in Jersey at the beginning of 1994, before calling it a day shortly afterwards. 1994 - 1999 David forms the band that was to become State Of Mind, with longtime friend Simon Shrive. The band initially went under a few different names, including Bambooz
