Drawing on many influences, the music of this trumpet virtuoso and composer is not only listened to, it is felt and it speaks to us. His next album, The Horde, will be released by Crystal Records in February 2013. Three exceptional musicians, Roberto Negro (piano), Florent Nisse (bass) and Gautier Garrigue (drums) join him in producing a complex, profound sound that exudes fantastic energy. David Enhco has also been involved in many original music projects: In June 2012, commissioned by the Jazz à Vienne festival, he performed with Bastien Ballaz, Jon Boutellier and Frederic Nardin and The Amazing Keystone Big Band in a jazz adaptation of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf that delighted 6,000 children and introduced them to jazz improvisation, instruments and genres. Thrilled by the initiative, Chant du Monde and Harmonia Mundi decided to produce a CD and book of the show, to be released in September 2013.
