Artist
We could classify David Bazo´s music mostly as an instrumental work, though he records and employs such diverse vocal genres and styles. His taste for world traditional music and also for some kind of "oniric surrealism" in some of his pieces, lives side to side with a very accentuated sensibility towards classical music, which is always present in every one of his musical works. It's this classical vein, maybe, the most prominent stroke of his most recent pieces, but its also evident in his album "La Caja de Pandora" (Pandora´s Box) (PMCD 001 Pandora Music), an heterogeneous mixture with its piano themes and string arrangements: Such themes always balanced with some others more in a New Age style, or Ambient, more surrounding and rhythmic. Brought by his most definitive instruments, as for him are mostly piano and guitars, but also synthesizers, or even violin, mandolin and other acoustic instruments, its from where emanates the energy of his most strong and expressive interpretations, always mixing acoustic and electric; symphonism and experimentation. In an genre such as the melodic vocal and instrumental music, in which the very few referents of estabilized artist nowdays are very well classified and can be numbered with the fingers of both hands, the David Bazo´s effort brings a little new seed and another alternative to the lovers of this style of music.
