David André Østby (also known as David Ostby internationally) is a Norwegian worship leader, worship director and songwriter. After surfacing as a songwriter on Ungfila LIVE's 2002 release «Today», he has written a number of worship songs such as «All Because of You», «Syng Det Ut», «Større Enn Alt» and «Vår Gud». In 2005 Ungfila LIVE gained national attention when their live worship DVD, «Highest of the High», was aired on TV2, and in 2007 he debuted as a solo artist with the album «Saving Arms». In 2009 David signed a worldwide distribution deal and released his international debut album «Because of You» through the Delirious owned Fierce distribution (now Integrity). David is still with Integrity as a songwriter, and has written with a number of Integrity artists, such as Nathan Jess, Aaron Keyes, Ken Riley (yFriday) and Claire Hamilton. In 2011 the album «Hjerteslag», recorded live at Skjærgårds Music & Mission festival, reached #1 in the Norwegian iTunes album chart. David started to record his new full length solo album in 2014.
