Artist
Dave Webber & Anni Fentiman is an English folk duo formed in 1985 who sing mostly unaccompanied. From 1986-2004, both were members of the harmony quartet Beggar's Velvet. Before joining forces, both Webber and Fentiman spent many years around the English folk club scene, in which time they featured on several albums made by other performers. Although they perform mainly in England, they also perform in Wales and Scotland. They also make at least one trip each year to the United States, where they have an established following and have also performed in Holland, Denmark and Finland. Fentiman has developed a specialist repertoire of songs originating from her native North East around Gateshead, and Webber has been writing songs in traditional vein since 1982 many of which are widely sung and have become part of the general song repertoire of singers all over the world.
