1) Dave Warner is the producer of Dave’s Lounge, a weekly podcast that showcases chillout, trip hop and downtempo music. 2)Hailing from Perth in Western Australia, Dave Warner formed what he claimed to be 'Australia’s first punk band' Pus, in the early 1970s. He later formed a new band, Dave Warner's From The Suburbs, in 1977. The band gained a following with their two independently released singles and their performances, and was subsequently signed by Mushroom Records. Dave Warner's From The Suburbs was a major Australian pub band playing with the likes of Men At Work, Midnight Oil, INXS, Dragon and Skyhooks. Their albums were highly original and successful, tapping into the psyche of the ordinary Aussie boy and girl. Mushroom released their best known song, “Suburban Boy” in 1978, together with an album, “Mug’s Game”. A second album, “Free Kicks”, followed in 1979, but Dave Warner's From The Suburbs then disbanded. Dave Warner released subsequent albums “Correct Weight” (1979) and “This Is My Planet” (1981) under his own name.
