New York, the birthplace of razor-sharp lyricism and quick-witted wordplay has been overtaken by a regime of Hipster cool and down south jingle mimicry. The city demands change and the change is Dashah. Adding to the great lineage of Long Island MC’s, Dashah is determined to take what once was to a new level. To describe him as a “MC’s MC” would be an understatement. While blending the microphone styling of Black Thought and Rakim, Dashah paves his own lane by creating sharp, thought provoking lyrics drawn from his life experiences. Growing up in the same neighborhood in Wyandanch as Rakim and Eric Sermon, Dashah got an experience in hip-hop that molded his future. Having hit the circuit and opened for acts such as Fabolous, Naughty By Nature, Ja Rule, and Jeru The Damaja, Dashah has done more than just hold his own in the city. Handpicked by the legendary DJ crew Ill Insanity (formerly the X-Ecutioners) to perform on their latest release titled “Ground Xero” (Fat Beats), Dashah created a buzz in the underground hip hop scene with the song "Decorated Vet.” After the release and success of his latest album “Rap Burglar 2: The Return”, Dashah went back to the lab and added four more songs to create “Rap Burglar 2.5 Special Edition”. The title "Rap Burglar" comes from Dashah's notion that "hip hop music in general is not owned by the people anymore, so I thought what if I could steal it back and return it to the people?” A sonic nest of soulful bangers produced by newcomers Nat
