Darwin and the Dinosaur (sometimes 'Darwin & The Dinosaur') are a 4 piece post-punk / alternative band from Norwich, England. Having originally made their debut in April 2009 at the Norwich Arts Centre as a trio, marking the release of their debut EP “English For The Hearing Impaired”, the band has had a number of lineup changes, finally sticking with Alan Hiom (Vocals / Guitar), Steve Larke (Guitar / Vocals), James Bates (Bass) and Joe Mears (Drums). After playing shows up and down the UK in support of their EP releases 'The Bear' (2010), 'Darwin & The Dinosaur' (2011), 'Romulus' (2013) and 'Remus' (2014), the quartet embarked on their first European tour in 2013 playing concerts across Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Hungary including dates with Idle Class. Footage from the tour can be found on their Official YouTube. This was followed by a subsequent European tour in April 2014 with dates supporting Fjørt. The band are currently writing the follow-up to 'Remus' with a view to tour the UK and Europe in 2015.
