Darktown Strutters formed in Denton, Texas in 2006 by singer Kara Jean "KROQ" Howell, and drummer Wesley "Crusher" Darrin. They released one self-titled album on limited vinyl-only release on independent Restore Vinyl, a Dallas-based label headed by Klearlight Studios in 2008. In 2012, Darktown Strutters added Kim System to the band as guitarist and producer. The band is currently in the process of independently releasing their second album, 'Season in Hell'. All Darktown Strutters songs written and composed by Kara Jean Howell, unless noted otherwise, and are subject to copyright.
