Darío Fernández, aka Darioef, was born in 1983 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since he was a child, music has been a very important part of his life. He grew up listening to his father’s extensive record collection, being Darío’s musical tastes greatly influenced by the sound of The Beatles for years. However, it wasn’t until 1999 that Darío first met the electronic music thanks to a lifelong friend who introduced him to Oakenfold’s work and other trance artists, such as Armin Van Buuren, Tiësto, Yahel, Ferry Corsten and Vincent de Moor. As a result, the distinctive melodies and electronic sounds of the trance genre began to influence him and Darío developed a curiosity for trance that would lead him to go through new experiences. A few months later, Darío learned to dj his first own tracks. At that time, he only had a PC and a Denon emulator, which shows the great effort he has put into his career as a DJ from the beginning. Some time later, he bought his first mixer and stated to create his first mixes. The years 2000, 2001 and 2002 meant learning and changes in Darío’s life. He discovered new sounds that influenced his taste in music, providing him with a diversity of styles he was not aware of up to that moment. Since 2003 Darío has become considered a an integral artist. Eager for more and while his career as DJ was improving, Darío created his first production, called “Alpha”.
