Artist
As a child, Darian would spend hours alone in his bedroom with nothing but his imagination. He would map out imaginary world tours, standing on his bed pretending to play to thousands. Though he couldn't sing or play guitar, he could play drums, and his passion for rhythm - inspired by legends like Neil Peart and Stewart Copeland - led him to join his first band in university. Deep down, he always longed to be at the front of his stage. When his band broke up in 2023, Darian was lost and questioning his future in music. After a simple moment of strumming a gifted guitar and recording a cover of a Bruce Springsteen song, his childhood dream was reignited. Encouraged by a friend, Darian decided to chase that dream. Now, as a pop singer-songwriter from Toronto, Darian blends the styles of John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, and Shawn Mendes with his own unique sound. Filled with vulnerable lyrics, catchy hooks, and a modern yet classic vibe, his music is for everyone. It's for anyone who's ever been in love or felt alone. It's for people looking for inspiration to chase their dream. It's for the girl who broke his heart, and most importantly, it's for his childhood self, sitting alone in his room dreaming of the stage. Darian's debut EP, To Someone I Loved/Lost, tells the story of love and loss, capturing the emotional journey from first sparks to late-night regrets over words left unsaid.
