I was born in 1978 and I started studying music at 12, having piano classes. I played keybords in several rock bands, and I always listened to all different kinds of rock and roll - Pink Floyd, Led Zepellin, Yes, Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, Dire Straits, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Mutantes . In 1998, I spent two months in New York studying English. There I had the opportunity to listen and have contact with a lot of live jazz and blues. This was really nice, I went deeply - Miles, Chick Corea, Bill Evans, Weather Report, Pastorious, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Hermeto, Nana Vasconcelos, BB King, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Nuno Mendelis..., and for sure all bossa nova – Tom, Vinicius, João Gilberto, João Donato, Baden Powel. I had classes of harmony and improvisation, then I realized the first composition ideas. During this period I went to the University, studiyng Economics - I have been graduated in 2000. I earned some money working at Brazil Bank and I decided to live in Barcelona for 1 year. There I had contact with the electronic scene and people who was making this music. I studied Digital Audio and Recording, and formed an acid jazz, new bossa lounge band. We played our own compositions and other versions of well known tracks of the moviment. I returned to Brazil in 2002 and renewed my ancient rehersal studio, witch has been transformed in a professional place for music production. So I started my electronic lounge and nu jazz project called da
