about

Daniel Bon is “…well on his way” according to Entertainment World. “Peeling Away the Beauty”, the follow-up to his successful debut, “Walking Backwards Thru the City”, is certainly a testament to that. This sophomore album comes just six months later and picks up right where “Walking Backwards…” left off. Daniel delivers more hook-laced dance-rock but with more edge this time around. The songs are brimming with energy and charisma as plush melodies are blended with buzzsaw guitars. “Peeling Away the Beauty” highlights a more aggressive side to Daniel’s songwriting. It’s a restless side that demands the listeners attention. Songs like “All of These Things” and “Loud Cloud” are fast paced and reminiscent of modern day Foo Fighters, while “Baba Ghanoush” and “Turn It All Around” are ethereal and intricately layered pieces. Be warned…the songs are sticky. Think maple syrup on your hands hours after you’ve tried to wash it off. It’s still there and it’s still sweet when you lick it.
