In March 2010, Ozie Gheirart and Pedro Zopelar betted on a friendship when they discovered they had the same favourite musician in common: Robert Smith. Since then, they have put their ideas, instruments and feelings together to create Dandi-Dracula – a possible combination between an intellectual and a musician. In a home studio in Vila Madalena (a neighbourhood in São Paulo), they have combined music and poetry to produce a sonority full of soul. And the ideas flowed, even more when they discovered as a focus/influence 5 icons in memoriam of the Rock: Scott Walker, Ian Curtis, Jeff Buckley, Richie James and Layne Staley. The result is a sonority marked by strength, melancholy and optimism. A great celebratian of the layers of our ambivalent existence in sounds, moods, images, attitudes, and more than anything, in deepness. Cheers to rock!
