There are at least four bands with this name, one is an ethereal post-dreampop band based in Australia, the second is a Canadian band that plays filk and folk music, the third a 70s funk outfit, and the fourth a jazz / pop unit from Latvia: 1) Dandelion Wine are an ethereal post-dreampop band that while based in Melbourne Australia, inhabit a very different world. A world where the centuries bleed into one another to create a seamless whole. A world where medieval instruments collide headlong with electronic beats. A world where angelic vocals soar over waves of distorted guitars. A world where gentle acoustic whispers sit alongside impassioned blasts of inner turmoil. Don't let the textured ambience fool you - a Dandelion Wine live show is not a stand and mumble into the microphone affair. On the contrary it is an energetic, passionate and visually arresting delivery of the band's unique music : strings are broken, sweat is expelled and feathers are ruffled. Dandelion Wine are comprised of Naomi Henderson (vocals, flute, recorder, guitar, percussion, electronics) and Nicholas Albanis (dulcimer, guitars, lute, mandolin, electronics, percussion). Following the release of their new album 'An Inexact Science' (Sept 2006, Ars Musica Diffundére/Black Rain) Dandelion Wine completed a tour of Australia and their third tour of Europe. This tour also included the band's first ever shows in Japan. Prior to the release of 'An Inexact Science' Dandelion Wine released 'Light Stream
