Dancing Funeral Children were formed from the ashes of two previously existing bands, XXY and Orgasm Attack. Both of which gained some prominence in the deathrock scene, however brief. Both groups played a small unofficial show in the Wave-Gotik Treffen. Carrie (from XXY) and Betty (from Orgasm Attack) formed Dancing Funeral Children days after as a sideproject with the help of a friend, Timtim. The side project came to be their full time band after XXY and Orgasm Attack dissolved from internal conflicts. DFC embarked on a mini-tour in California where they recieved little attention. They embarked on another German-Austrian tour where they were met with praise each time. Dispite not having a proper album out, DFC were eventually invited to play in the M'era Luna Festival in 2007. The band, however, was not able to attend. DFC plans to release a proper album, schedueled for late fall.
