Dance, Jenny was born in Gainesville, FL when Sean Kravit asked his neighbor Alex Senf for assistance recording a solo album by the name of The Husbands. The two traveled to play a show in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and were joined by Sean's cousin Kai Kravit on bass and vocals. Soon after the trio began recording electronic pop songs written by both Sean and Kai under the name Dance, Jenny. "La Música Pop" was released in 2005 as the band relocated to Orlando, FL and began to focus on Kai's material with a decidedly darker tone and more aggressive live drum sound from Senf. In '06 the band moved back home to South Florida and added strings (Rachel Harris on cello and Lisa Butler on violin) and guitar from long time friend and composer Michael Carcaise. Recording sessions throughout '07 and '08 continue however Sean has left the band and moved to New York City. Rachel and Lisa have also left the band to finish school. The future of the group and the recordings seem uncertain at this time due to lead singer/guitarist Kai Kravit's apparent paranoia of UFOs and inability to finish the nearly completed second album.
