Dana Markitan, previously known as Dana Marchitan, aka Dana Rusu (born June 5, 1983) is a Moldovan pop singer. She participated in the Moldovan national final several times. 2006 - Sing Your Song (with Alexa, Rodica Stegarescu & Serj Coston) - Winner of the first national final, withdrawn from second national final 2008 - Your Name - 8th place 2009 - Doar Un Pas - 17th place 2010 - Day And Night - Eliminated in semi final (Unknown placing) 2014 - Queen Of The Dancefloor - Eliminated in semi final (Shared 9th place with Glam Girls 2015 - Love Me - 10th place In 2014 Dana also auditioned with 'I Want Your Love' and in 2015 with 'În Ochii Tăi'. Dana Marchitan, participant of Moldstar project – the first reality competition in the Republic of Moldova organized by Moldcell, has launched on April 18, her debut album entitled “Sandwich Blues”. On the creation of this album containing 16 songs the singer has worked together with the composer Boris Bantea for a year and a half. The title of the album was inspired by its content – blues, soft rock, latino, pop and even reggae and country. The event of album launch gathered over 200 guests in “People” club in Chisinau, among which were representatives of national showbiz, mass-media, as well as the organizers and participants of Moldstar project, family and friends.
