Tolkien and the Beach Boys, Dan Scarpa’s music ranges from maniacally exuberant psychedelic come-ons to hypothetical punk rock theme songs to old-school horror films to heartbroken after-hours barroom meditations. A veteran of literally thousands of open mic nights and hundreds of shows both as a solo act and as a key member of the majority of the significant rock bands in the area, and an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Dan Scarpa is a musician and songwriter whose versatility rivals all others.
