Dan Pavlides, raised in St. Joseph, Michigan – started playing guitar as a teenager and recorded his first album Gambler in 1979 with many of his good friends. The Numero Group included Dan’s Lily of the Valley on their Wayfaring Stranger - Cosmic American Music release in 2016. Dan went on to record The Truth on You in 1988, where he started to experiment with his fun-loving Rockabilly style; most evident in the songs Hillbilly Baby and Rock & Roll Tragedy. Although most of the album stays pretty close to the Americana style established in Gambler. He continued to explore Rockabilly with Guyana Diana (an obscure, disturbing song about the Jonestown Massacre) and a number of other covers including, Little Miss Sad, Be Bop a Lula, Tobacco Road, Time Won’t Let Me, So You Want to be a Rock n Roll Star that will be released under the name Dan Pavlides – Everythingz Jake Anthology in coming months. A gifted writer and musician, Dan completed Surprise Me Sometime in 2000, just weeks before his death from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 45.
