The preferred name is Dan Michaelson and The Coastguards. Having previously endured both success and the release of 3 critically acclaimed albums as the singer and songwriter in cult indie band Absentee, Dan Michaelson began his solo career at the ripe old age of 32 with his debut album Saltwater in 2009.
