Artist
Dan Clark is a father, husband, pastor, songwriter, theologian, worship leader, abolitionist, advocate, and activist from Columbus, Ohio. Much of his spiritual and musical influence comes from two sources. First, he found his dad's records from the 60s and 70s when he was in middle school. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Steely Dan became quick favorites. Second, he has traveled Eastern Europe, Africa, and Latin America serving the poor. These factors come together in modern church music that fuses influences from a variety of genres such as britpop, jazz, indie rock, and hymnody. Experiences among the world's poor guide the message and flavor of this music to focus on issues of mercy and justice, equality and reconciliation.
