Born and raised in his home town of Linwood, Massachusetts, Dan Chauvin performed his first professional musical engagement at age 14 at a club he wasn't even old enough to enter, but did anyway. He blends traditional New England folk sounds of his roots with progressive rock influences that create an original,ear-catching style reminicent of the Harry Chapin-James Taylor story-telling era accented by an acoustic finger-picking, almost bluegrass style that is creatively his own. Dan's lyrics take on the darker side of personal relationships and the everyday grind of life in general as well as the all-to-real emotions created when not everything goes as planned. His music is easy to listen to, light, and extremely relatable to the common individual. A natural, soulful flow to his music keeps your attention with a stage presence that is genuine, sincere, and unabrasive with enticing melodies, sweet rhymes and a refined musical ability.
