Damnasty – at first sight a very dangerous looking name, but if you dare a closer look you will soon recognize that this name neither stands for a DeathMetal nor a Hardcore Band, but for 3 nice guys and a girl who are very passionate about loud guitarsounds. The band was found, when Jan and Steffen decided to become (more or less) successful rockstars. After some rehearsals in the ghettos of Karlsruhe and first gigs with some other musicians and a very strange bandname, it more and more became clear, that they really could be rockstars. Because of a conspiracy the other bandmembers beside Jan and Steffen quit playing instruments and therefore some other talents had to be found. Fortunately Jan has a sister and so there soon was a new main-bassist. Getting a new drummer wasn’t that easy. But finally Frederic was found through the internet and his very sad ad on the pages of “lonesome drummers”. Immediately exited by the idea of playing in a band, he jumped on board and behind his drums. As time went on more and more new and better songs were written, inspired by bands like Blink182, Fall Out Boy or the Beatsteaks (just to mention a few). However the four always wanted to create their own way of music and not to copy other bands. So they somehow found their style in a mix of Punkrock, Emo and a lot of energy, especially on stage.
