Damn Broads! are an all-female punk/hardcore band from Northwest Connecticut. The broads formed in May 2010 after meeting through an ad posted on Craigslist. By August they were playing shows and by the end of the year they had released their first demo, "The Damn Demo." They are a punk band that happens to consist of all girls but don't let their gender fool you - they are NOT a girl band. They are a punk band. The broads have a unique sound. They're influenced by punk rock, street punk, ska, and oi. They've been compared to Black Flag and the girl version of Minor Threat. In April 2011, the band released their second demo, "Politics and Lady Parts." In March 2012 the broads self-released their first full length CD, "Loud, Fast and in the Dark." Recorded at The Cutting Room in Manhattan, New York the broads bring it to you raw! The CD includes eleven original songs by the Broads and all the artwork created by their own bassist Michelle Threat. These ladies manage to travel quite often and have played CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, NY, OH, MI, IN, MD and PA. They plan to continue doing shows wherever they can. Damn Broads! have played with so many amazing underground acts to more mainstream bands including Murphy's Law, The Misfits, Reagan Youth and The Casualties.
