Damjan od Resnika is Belgrade band founded in the year 2009 by the singer-songwriter Damjan Pavlica. Damjan, singer and guitarist, was recorded demos since 2004. Some of his early releases include: Neradnik compilation "Rokanje nikad nije stalo" (2005) and "Uživo iz svoje sobe" (2006). By the end of 2008. he started recording demo album "U potrazi za bendom" (en. In a Quest for a Band), with the help of friends musicians from local bands (NightRide, S.A.R.S., Mušterije...). The following year he published songs and formed a band with Ivana Blažević on violin, Miloš Bakalović on drums, and many guest musicians. In the year 2011. Damjan od Resnika released first official album "Pored vatre" (en. By The Fire), characterized by an atmospheric acoustic sound, male-female diphones, live instruments (violin, double bass, guitar, accordion, gusle, didgeridoo...) and the raw production, without much effect.
