DAMIR OUT LOUD Damir Out Loud is a Berlin-based ensemble of international musicians. Hannes Daerr - tenor sax & bass clarinet Ferdinand "Fred" Hendrich - trombone Lukas Fichtner - horn Julius Heise - electric & acoustic vibraphone Noriaki Hosoya - electric & acoustic Bass Tom Dayan - drums Damir Bačikin - trumpet & composition Combining elements of jazz, experimental noise, drum 'n' bass, and Balkan folk music, the ensemble has developed its own authentic sound, the results of which are a wide spectrum of dynamic forms and a musical dialogue with woodwinds & brass on one side and vibraphone, double bass and drums on the other. Brought together by their mutual musical interests, the ensemble is at its most exciting when performing original compositions by Damir Bačikin, trumpet player and bandleader. Awarded a studio Grant by the City of Berlin in 2012, the ensemble released their first album "Graduation day" for "Unit records"(CH). Their 2013 Serbian promotional tour was funded by "Initiative Musik"Cologne; the ensemble performed at the "Nisville Jazz Festival", headlining with Marius Neset,Jazzanova, Dusko Gojkovic, Bobby Carcasses, Ron Carter, Ginger Baker.
