Dakota Wade (DakotaDawnMusic) is an amazing 15-year-old award winning singer/songwriter, whose original song “Mistake Sampleman7 Remix” won First Place in the 2007 AMERICAN IDOL UNDERGROUND song contest (Electronica genre). She was the youngest winner in all the genres including Pop, Rock & Country and won $5,000 cash and other great prizes. Dakota has already written 100+ songs. Dakota has been in the studio working on her original songs and is excited to finish her upcoming album! Dakota was named in the May 2007 edition of AMERICAN IDOL magazine as one of the “BEST EMERGING ARTISTS OF 2006” for AMERICAN IDOL UNDERGROUND. Dakota has won numerous other songwriting awards including two “Suggested Artist” and two “Honorable Mentions” in the worldwide songwriting competition, “Song of the Year.” Dakota performs in popular L.A. venues like the Rainbow Room and the Pig n Whistle, and she is also a member of top teen performing group, L.A. Hip Kids, where she both sings and dances. When Dakota was only 5 years old, she wrote and performed her very first song “The Mother’s Day Song.” And it’s even on tape!
