The Daily Plannet is the genius of twin brothers Kevynn and Keath Bunkley. Known as Allstar the Fabulous and Spotlite the Big Idea with Status, the duo stands as the core of The Daily Plannet…add in childhood friend Antonio Toppin (aka tone the Strategist) and you have the trio called The Daily Plannet. Born and raised in Gary, In., the twins got into hip hop around 1985 and have continued to grow with the now worldwide musical art form. Growing up, they were influenced by different forms of music from jazz to rock to soul. After hearing rap tunes in the mid 80’s, they found an attachment to the music and began searching for all the information they could find about the music and it’s artists. Although Gary wasn’t a thriving outlet for hip-hop, they stayed current with the latest music through mix tapes. Being in high school throughout the late eighties and early nineties, Allstar and Spotlite were strongly influenced by the “golden years” of hip-hop and gained local notoriety for rapping and dancing around the “Steel City”. The Daily Plannet was introduced to the underground world of hip hop by All Natural on their first album, “No Additives, No Preservatives” back in 1997. Allstar appeared on the songs “Phantoms of the Opera” and “No Nonsense” helping to create a buzz for the DP. On All Natural’s second album, “Second Nature”, Spotlite made his debut on the stand-out cut “Queens Get the Money”, and Allstar once again added a little style of his own to “Elements of Style
