In the year 1990 Daði found himself he was able to see the light, he withdrew himself from the media and started his own one man band simply called Daði then in 1996 he was put into rehab for alcohol and substance abuse. he return to the spotlight 1n 1998 when he was arrested in Bergen for having illegal substances in the back of his car. he spent 3 years in prison. and re-located to Iceland where he currently resides today. He spends most of his time in the studio preparing for the new album which is due to be released in 2007.
