DOUG The Eagle is a musical pseudonym for Joseph Paul Morris, a fan of very-long-running web-comic Dan & Mab's Furry Adventures (DMFA) http://www.missmab.com/index.php who decided to create a musical score to fit as a tribute. He's been a musician ever since, and the Progressive Rock style of his tracks, produced in the 'old ways' using analogue tape recorders and synths in deepest Wales, has been spread through several albums, each with a unique flavour, with no sign of him stopping soon. He's also created a webcomic called Project Future http://www.project-future.org/ which is also a tribute to DMFA, and which some of his songs are made for as well. Despite the fan-art nature of this music, it is quite capable as a standalone set of albums, with evocative tracks such as Borderline, Zoocity, Princes Of The Dreams and Heaven's Army, long progression such as The Quest For The Sacred Jaguar, the perennial Legend Of Daniel Ti'Fiona and ...And Daryil Answered and laced with plenty of strange and wonderful humour - particularly in such tracks as Fishsticks, Sheep Are Satanic, The Shadow Over Merthyr and, darkly, Baklawa Doom.
