DLDown is a part-time acoustic/rock/jazz collective centered around material penned by multi-instrumentalist Jo Wilson. First performing in Aberdeen in early 2005 after Jo started jamming with Tim Buick (saxophone), DLDown deliver an original mixture of complex song structures, interesting harmonies and heartfelt lyrics. Tim's solos bounced between beauty and boisterousness over audience-captivating rhyhmic delay loops laid down by Jo. The D and the L stand for "Don't" and "Look" respectively. Believing that the songs were too good to waste, Tim and Jo recorded their debut album Puzzle at Flat 3 in Aberdeen in autumn 2006, bringing in violinist Aggy Ng to perform on tracks Lazarus and Farther Up and Farther In. More recently, following an amicable geographical divergence from his co-founder, Jo continues to write and perform in a sporadic fashion, roping in additional musicians when he can. Work towards a second album continues quietly in the background... User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
