Rob Fabrie, also known as DJ Waxweazle (*9 November 1971), is a Dutch DJ and producer specializing in Hardcore Techno and Happy Hardcore. His career began when he and his friend Richard van Naamen started producing techno tracks. In 1990, he worked at the club "Midtown" in Rotterdam and that same year handed some demo productions to Paul Elstak, who was active in the same genre. Recognizing their potential together, Rob Fabrie, Richard van Naamen, and Paul Elstak formed "Holy Noise." This group quickly gained recognition with hit singles such as "James Brown Is Still Alive" (a response to L.A. Style’s "James Brown Is Dead") and "The Nightmare." After several compilation releases, "Holy Noise" disbanded. Paul Elstak continued producing solo under the name DJ Paul, while Rob Fabrie expanded his recognition through solo projects for international labels like Terror Trax and Dance International. After releasing many successful tracks, he became a sought-after DJ, frequently booked by promoters. ID&T eventually offered him his own label, "Waxweazle Vinyl." Since he had already used the name "DJ Waxweazle" multiple times, he decided to name his label accordingly. Around this time, he also established his own studio in Rotterdam. Since 1998, Fabrie has primarily used the alias Headbanger, focusing on Mainstyle Hardcore. His biggest hit to date is "Headbanger Theme" (2000).
